Gold and REITs Led — Scanner Went Quiet But the Tape Delivered
SPX closed near highs at $7,811, gold ripped +1.55% to $4,221, and REITs were the sector story of the day. Scanner was dead on qualifiers but a few tickers still ran.

Live tape — what this brief is about
Solid session overall — not flashy, but the right things moved. Gold, silver, health, and REITs did the heavy lifting while COMMS bled -1.52% and energy was a non-event. I'll give the day a B+.
On my radar
- CCM $3.63 — up +16.94% on RVOL 4.1x with a 130M float. Didn't qualify the scanner but it ran. If it consolidates and holds $3.40 overnight, I want to see a morning flag setup above $3.55 before touching it.
- FEDU $11.19 — +7.47%, float only 22.6M, RVOL 3.3x. Low float with a clean catalyst move. Tomorrow's watch: holds $10.80 premarket and I'm interested above $11.30 with volume confirmation.
- CABO $10.01 — down -34.95% on a 5.7M float but RVOL was only 1.1x. That's a dead cat bounce risk, not a short setup I trust tonight. Watching it but not touching it.
Levels I care about
- SPX $7,811 closed strong — the next real resistance I'm watching is $7,850. A failure there and I expect a pullback to $7,760.
- Gold $4,221 — this move is real. $4,200 is now support. If it holds that level and silver stays above $60.50, I'm adding to my bullion position on any dip.
- 10Y Yield at 5.244% is the risk I'm not ignoring. That's the number that breaks this rally if it keeps climbing. 5.30% is the line.
How I'm positioned
Gold position is working and I'm letting it breathe — stop is now trailed up to $4,170. BTC at $82,254 with Crypto Fear & Greed at 59 tells me the momentum is intact but not overheated, so I'm holding my BTC position without adding. SPX index exposure stays on — no reason to trim into a +0.59% close with Fear & Greed neutral at 45.
Scanner pulled zero qualifiers today so I sat out day trades entirely. No forcing it. Tomorrow I'm opening the scanner at 9:32 and if FEDU or CCM show continuation volume in the first 15 minutes, I'm sizing in at half position to start.
