10Y Yield Hits 5.29% — Gold Cracks, Energy Rips, BMBL Explodes 57%

The 10-year yield is screaming at 5.291% and it's bleeding into gold and financials. Meanwhile BMBL just went nuclear overnight — here's what I'm doing before the bell.

Mario's take

The 10-year yield at 5.291% is the story this morning — everything else is a reaction to that number. Gold down 1.37%, silver down 2.61%, financials bleeding -0.42%, and yet crude is ripping +1.60% and the SPX is basically flat. The bond market is forcing a rotation and I'm paying attention.

On my radar
  • BMBL $5.95 — up +56.58% overnight, RVOL 19.5x, float 151.6M. This has catalyst written all over it. I'm not chasing the open — I want to see a 5-minute consolidation above $5.50 before I consider a long entry. A clean flag or base there targets $6.50–$6.80.
  • FEDU $12.00 — up +22.08%, RVOL 2.7x, float only 22.6M. Tight float and momentum is a dangerous combo for shorts. Watching $11.20 as the line — if it holds that on the open pullback, I'm long with a stop under $10.80.
  • FUN $10.20 — down -14.43%, RVOL 4.2x, catalyst-driven. Dead cat bounces on these are where I make money on the short side. Looking for a bounce into $10.80–$11.00 to fade aggressively.
Levels I care about
  • SPX $7,750 is the floor I'm watching — lose that intraday and I expect a flush toward $7,700.
  • Gold $4,100 is the next line of support — if it cracks that with the dollar continuing higher, I'm trimming my bullion position, not adding.
  • Crude $97.00 is the upside level — energy is the only real green sector and XLE follows crude tick for tick.
  • 10Y at 5.30% — if yield closes above that, expect financials to get hit harder tomorrow.
How I'm positioned

Holding gold but on a short leash given the yield spike — my stop is a daily close under $4,085. Bitcoin at $82,793 with Crypto Fear & Greed at 62 (Greed) doesn't inspire me to add here; I'm sitting on my existing BTC position and not touching it. Day trades today are sized at 75% normal risk until I see how the market digests the yield pressure past 10AM. My first trade of the day is BMBL — but only after the open volatility settles. If BMBL holds $5.50 in the first 15 minutes, I'm in for a scalp to $6.50.
