Risk-Off Sweep: Tech Craters, Health Holds, Power Hour Decision Time
The morning sold off hard across the board — tech down over 2%, silver getting hammered 5.8%, and yields at 5.24% are doing real damage. One scanner name is worth watching into the close.

Live tape — what this brief is about
The tape character flipped ugly early and never recovered. Ten-year at 5.24% is the story — that's the wrecking ball hitting tech, REITs, and anything rate-sensitive in unison.
On my radar
- MXCT $1.23 — RVOL 32.7x, float 107M, catalyst + 50 SMA bounce. This is the only name on the scanner worth respecting today. I want to see it hold $1.15 and consolidate into power hour before I touch it. Under $1.10 and it's done.
- CMBT $18.97 — down 8.76%, RVOL only 1.5x. Not enough juice for a short momentum play. Skipping it.
Levels I care about
- SPX $7,733 is already through the level I was defending — next support I'm watching is $7,680. If we lose that in power hour, expect an acceleration to $7,620.
- Gold $4,105 giving back nearly 2% with silver down almost 6% is a DXY story, not a fundamentals story. $4,080 is where I reassess my bullion thesis.
- 10Y Yield 5.24% is the pin. Above 5.30% and this selloff gets a second leg down across equities. That's the number to watch at 2pm.
- Health at +2.05% is the only real green. Rotation is defensive, not constructive.
How I'm positioned
Fear & Greed sitting at 35 (Fear) while Crypto F&G reads 62 (Greed) — that divergence is a red flag. BTC at $81,565 down nearly 2% tells me the crypto crowd hasn't capitulated yet despite the index reading.
I'm not adding to anything long right now. My gold position stays but I'm moving my stop up to $4,075 — I'm not riding a DXY squeeze all the way down. Day trade sizing is at 50% normal today given the rate-driven tape. Into power hour, I'm watching MXCT for a consolidation entry only if SPX stabilizes above $7,700. If the tape keeps sliding, I stay flat and let it come to me.
