Risk-Off Wednesday: Yields Bite, Industrials Crater, and the Tape Needed Health
The 10Y at 5.277% is doing real damage — Industrials dropped 2.19% and my bullion longs took a hit. Here's how I graded the day and what I'm watching tomorrow.

Live tape — what this brief is about
A slow bleed day, and the culprit is obvious: the 10-year yield at 5.277% is choking rate-sensitive sectors alive. Industrials down 2.19%, REITs down 1.13%, Materials down 1.44% — that's not random sector rotation, that's the bond market repricing risk and equities following. Health was the lone bright spot at +1.05%, and if you weren't in it, the day felt worse than the SPX headline number suggests.
On my radar
- CANG $3.56 — up 18% on RVOL 3.6x with an 82M float. That's the cleanest setup on the board today. I want to see it consolidate above $3.20 overnight and gap-hold tomorrow morning for a continuation entry.
- BULL $5.89 — down 19% on RVOL 6.0x with a catalyst tag. Anything that drops that hard with that volume gets a second-day fade watch. Eyeing a dead-cat short entry if it opens above $6.20 and rolls.
- RXRX $4.62 — catalyst-driven flush, RVOL 1.7x. Worth watching for a flush-and-reverse setup if it holds $4.40 in the morning.
Levels I care about
- SPX $7,799 is barely holding — a close below $7,750 tomorrow opens the door to $7,680 fast.
- Gold $4,131 gave back 1.33% with the DXY pushing 102.27. My line in the sand is $4,080 — below that and I'm trimming.
- 10Y Yield 5.277% is the macro boss right now. Until that rolls over, every rate-sensitive long is fighting gravity.
How I'm positioned
I grade today a C-. I held my gold and silver longs through the DXY rip and that cost me — I knew the dollar was strong going in and should have sized down. Silver getting hit 2.74% stings more than gold because the position is larger. I'm not cutting either yet; $4,080 gold is my stop trigger.
BTC down 2.64% while Crypto Fear & Greed sits at 71 (Greed) — that divergence is a yellow flag. I'm not adding crypto here.
No day trades qualified today — scanner flagged zero at threshold, and the top names had floats too large or RVOL too weak for my sizing rules. That's a sit-on-hands day, and I sat. Tomorrow I'm watching CANG at the open and keeping a short trigger ready on BULL if it bounces weak.
