Morning opened with a clear rotation out of tech and into defensive plays — utilities, materials, energy. That's not a bull tape, that's a risk-off reshuffle. SPX is holding above key support for now but the -2% tech drag is real and the Fear & Greed at 28 (Fear) confirms the mood.
On my radar
- SITC $3.52 — RVOL 3.7x, float 52.5M, catalyst-driven. Up 17% but I want to see it consolidate and hold $3.30 before I touch it. Chasing here is a trap.
- TLK $11.28 — RVOL 3.1x, down 11.78% on catalyst. Short thesis is intact as long as it stays below $11.75. Looking for continuation into $10.80 in power hour.
- VG $12.46 — down 6.1%, RVOL 1.9x, rejected off the 200 SMA. That's a clean technical short setup. Trigger is a breakdown below $12.20 with a stop at $12.75.
Levels I care about
- SPX $7,680 is the line I'm watching into the close — lose that and I expect a flush toward $7,630.
- Gold $4,195 holding its grind higher with a soft dollar (DXY 101.7). My bullion thesis stays intact above $4,150.
- 10Y yield at 5.08% is the silent anchor on tech — until that pulls back, growth names stay under pressure.
How I'm positioned
I'm holding my gold position with no adjustments — this move is playing out exactly as expected with DXY weakness and yield pressure on risk assets. BTC at $81,302 with Crypto Fear & Greed at 63 (Greed) is a disconnect I don't love — that divergence rarely lasts. I trimmed my BTC exposure this morning.
For power hour I'm watching TLK for a short entry and keeping day trade size at 60% of normal until SPX shows its hand at $7,680. No new longs in tech today.
