Live tape — what this brief is about
The morning didn't play out how most people expected — yields dropped hard and that flipped the leadership board fast. Finance (+1.20%), Health (+2.31%), and Utilities (+1.46%) are running the tape while Tech is basically flat and Energy is the clear loser down 0.55%.
On my radar
- MYGN $5.47 — RVOL 8.7x, float 94.5M, catalyst-driven +30% move. I want to see it consolidate above $5.00 and build a flag before I touch it. Chasing here is a trap.
- BDTX $2.06 — RVOL only 1.4x which is thin for my taste, but the 13.5% move on a 57M float is worth keeping on the list. $1.90 is my line — below that and it's noise.
- IFRX $1.45 — float is too heavy at 147M for a name with 3.9x RVOL. Watching only if volume compresses and it reclaims $1.50 with conviction.
Levels I care about
- SPX $7,725 is the pivot — it needs to hold into power hour or I expect a fade to $7,680.
- 10Y at 5.113% dropping is what's fueling REIT and Utility strength today; if it reverses back above 5.15% late session, expect those sectors to give back gains fast.
- Gold $4,152 — slight pullback but nothing that breaks my thesis. $4,100 is where I'd reassess.
How I'm positioned
Stock Fear & Greed sitting at 26 (Fear) while the index grinds higher is a divergence I respect. That's not a green light to get aggressive — that's the market climbing a wall of worry, which can reverse without warning. I'm holding my gold position through this dip, stop below $4,090. No new day trade entries until I see whether SPX can defend $7,725 in the last hour. If it does, I'll look at a small MYGN flag entry near the close with a tight stop under $5.00.
