SPX Holds $7,668 But Fear Says Don't Trust It Yet
Energy and tech carried the session while health care bled out. CTVA cratered 84% and BIRD ripped 30% — here's what I did with both.

Live tape — what this brief is about
Flat-to-green day on the surface but the Fear & Greed Index sitting at 28 (Fear) while SPX posts +0.22% tells me institutions are not buying this rally with conviction — they're just not selling aggressively either. I'll take the green but I'm not reading into it.
On my radar
- BIRD $3.40 — +30.27%, RVOL 6.2x, float 8.8M. Classic low-float momentum runner. I missed the morning entry but I'm watching for a consolidation above $3.10 overnight. If it builds a base, tomorrow's open is playable long with a tight stop.
- INSG $4.46 — +21.72%, RVOL 6.4x, float 16.3M, catalyst-driven. Cleaner story than BIRD at this float. Want to see it hold $4.20 into tomorrow's open before I touch it.
- CTVA $12.10 — down 84.42% on RVOL 13.4x. That's not a typo. Catalyst-driven collapse, short float squeeze risk is gone — this is a falling knife with possible dead-cat bounce tomorrow. Watching $13.50 as a short re-entry level if it bounces premarket without news.
Levels I care about
How I'm positioned
Gold position is sitting comfortably, stop raised to $4,160. BTC at $84,613 with Crypto Fear & Greed at 74 (Greed) — that divergence from the stock market Fear read is interesting but I'm not adding here. My day trades were light today, half-size, and I finished slightly green. Missed the BIRD morning spike which is annoying, but chasing a 30% mover after 11am is how you give back a week of gains. Tomorrow I'm watching BIRD and INSG at the open for clean setups, and I'll have a short thesis ready on CTVA if it bounces into resistance. Crude momentum may finally make XLE worth a swing — I'll look at levels premarket.
