Tech Holds the Tape but the 10Y at 5.21% Is the Real Story
SPX grinding higher on tech muscle but a 5.21% 10Y yield is a tax on everything rate-sensitive. Power hour setup is thin — here's where I'm focused.
Live tape — what this brief is about
Morning came in cleaner than I expected given that 10Y print. Tech at +0.85% is doing the heavy lifting, but the bond market is screaming at us — 5.209% on the 10Y is not a number you ignore, and the divergence between equities drifting up and yields ripping is the tension I'm watching into power hour.
On my radar
- UXIN $1.30 — RVOL 205.3x, float listed at 67B which is a data error I'm treating as suspect. The move is real but I'm not touching this until I confirm the actual float. If it's a legit low-float name this is a gap-and-go chase — if not, it's a liquidity trap.
- DNA $10.25 — RVOL 2.6x, float 62.3M, momentum tag. Too low on RVOL for me to size normally. Watching $10.00 as support — a hold there into 3pm and I'd take a small starter.
- EQPT $16.32 — down 9.73% with a catalyst. RVOL only 2.5x which is underwhelming for a short, but if it can't reclaim $16.75 into the close I'd consider a small short against that level.

How I'm positioned
Scanner qualified zero names this morning, which tells me the tape is rotational and not momentum-driven — confirms my read. Stock Fear & Greed at 37 (Fear) while crypto sits at 71 (Greed). That split is wild and I'm not chasing BTC at $83,709 with that divergence. Holding my gold position through today, stops untouched at $4,240. Energy is getting hit — I trimmed XLE exposure this morning, right call. Into power hour I'm watching the $7,700 SPX line and sizing day trades at half until the 10Y stops climbing.
