The morning session ran cleaner than expected with tech leading, but the real action was in small-caps. VLN and XRX both printing 40%+ moves with massive RVOL — here's what I'm watching into the close.
Morning played out better than I expected. I had SPX tagged for a sluggish open given yesterday's tape, but the index pushed cleanly and is holding +0.64% with tech carrying the weight at +1.10%. Energy is the ugly one — crude dropping -3.60% is dragging the sector and I'm not touching anything oil-adjacent today. That crude move is macro noise, not a rotation signal.
The story this midday is the scanner. Zero qualified on my strict criteria — float too high, spread too wide, or the move was already extended by the time my levels triggered. But the setups worth watching into power hour are clear.

One thing I'm watching on the macro side: crypto Fear & Greed sitting at 26 (Fear) while BTC is up +2.54% today. That divergence is bullish for Bitcoin mid-term. Stock market greed at 67 tells me the equity crowd is comfortable, maybe too comfortable. I'm not fading this tape, but I'm also not chasing into power hour without a clean setup. Discipline over FOMO.
